The Dream Day Foundation with the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lee County will present the 23rd Annual Celebration for Dr. Martin L. King, Jr. This years theme is "Lift Every Voice!
The Dream Day Foundation, Inc., a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization in partnership with McDonald’s of Auburn, Opelika, Shorter and Tuskegee, Kroger, Inc., and Opelika City Council is in the planning stages of our 23rd Annual Celebration honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin L. King, Jr. This year’s event will be held on January 17, 2022 at Opelika High School Center for Performing Arts at 11:00 am. Due to COVID-19, mask and social distancing will be enforced. They will also offer free testing and the Pfizer vaccine one hour before the event and one hour after the event. Parents and Guardians must be present to consent to take test or vaccine.
They will honor Dr. King’s legacy by lifting his voice and the voices that many others have used to advocate for peace, equality and justice. They will once again reveal the recipient of the 2022 Dream Achiever Award and announce the winners of our 2022 Dream Day Scholarships for high school seniors wishing to further their education.
